Healthy sleep habits can make a big difference in your quality of life. Don’t hesitate to talk to your doctor about any concerns you have. Here are a few tips to consider:
Set sleep & wake up schedule to train your body on what is expected.
Set your atmosphere to relax to go to sleep; this includes a comfortable temperature.
What out for hidden stumbling blocks like naps, sleep aids, over-eating, alcohol and caffeine.
Watch out for sleep pitfalls like an old pillow or mattress.
Watch for obstacles that can cause injury if you have to get up during the night.
If possible, shut down all electronic devices that will flash or make noise during the night.
Remember to keep your bedroom set up as a bedroom; not an office or activity room.
Sweet Dreams!
