Healthy sleep habits can make a big difference in your quality of life. Don’t hesitate to talk to your doctor about any concerns you have. Here are a few tips to consider:

  • Set sleep & wake up schedule to train your body on what is expected.

  • Set your atmosphere to relax to go to sleep; this includes a comfortable temperature.

  • What out for hidden stumbling blocks like naps, sleep aids, over-eating, alcohol and caffeine.

  • Watch out for sleep pitfalls like an old pillow or mattress.

  • Watch for obstacles that can cause injury if you have to get up during the night.

  • If possible, shut down all electronic devices that will flash or make noise during the night.

  • Remember to keep your bedroom set up as a bedroom; not an office or activity room.
